Can't Be Tamed is the latest album by Miley Cyrus set to be released on June 22, 2010. The album, forwarded by its first single of the same name, represents Miley growing into her own self as a young woman. The goal of the album is to show Miley in this new light of being older than the public has seen her. It features producers like Antonina Armato, Tim James, and John Shanks. The sound of this album is described by Miley as having a "techno vibe" for the summer. She also stated that it has more of a "pop" sound than what she's explored before but with an "edge." This will also be Miley's last album before taking a hiatus from music to pursue more film and acting time. The release of the album will be accompanied with a deluxe CD/DVD version with the DVD containing never-before-seen videos of Miley's sold out Wonder World Tour in 2009. No Miley fan can wait for June 22, 2010 to pick up this "good to blast in your car" album. To pre-order the album, you can follow these links to Amazon.com. Miley’s newest movie The Last Song debuted at #4 at the Box Office! It was an incredible movie with a great deal of competition - Lots of great movies opened up this weekend along with it. Here’s what THR had to say about it’s opening:

Disney got a two-day jump on the session with Miley Cyrus starrer “The Last Song,” as the romantic drama took in $16.2 million in fourth place during the weekend and $25.6 million since its Wednesday bow; both sums were substantially higher than anticipated.

Nicholas Sparks has no love for people who call his stories “romances.”
The mega-best-selling author of The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and Message in a Bottle stands in the aisle of Book Soup, literally and figuratively defending his turf.

“If you look for me, I’m in the fiction section. Romance has its own section,” he says toward the end of a long conversation. Sunshine streams in from Sunset Boulevard. He’s smiling. Hard.

“I don’t write romance novels.” His preferred terminology: “Love stories — it’s a very different genre. I would be rejected if I submitted any of my novels as romance novels.”

Rejection isn’t something he has had to deal with lately. Sparks holds the No. 1 and No. 2 positions on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list with The Last Song, a novel turned movie vehicle for Miley Cyrus, and Dear John, recently released as a movie with Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum.

The Last Song movie, opening March 31, features Cyrus as a morose piano prodigy, reluctantly spending the summer with her estranged, dying father (Greg Kinnear). Cyrus’ real-life boyfriend, Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, 20, plays a kid who falls for her.

They met on the shoot, which means Sparks is a matchmaker of sorts. When Cyrus joins Sparks in the stacks at Book Soup, he asks about her weekend: “What’d you do for fun? Out with Liam?”

Cyrus smiles widely. “At first, he was working, so I was cute,” she says. “I went and got him coffee, bought him an Elvis CD and went and gave it to him at the photo shoot.”

After catching a sneak peek at Miley Cyrus’ next flick, “The Last Song,” at shows on her Wonder World tour, fans were no doubt excited to see the film when it was supposed to open in January. But now MTV News has confirmed that the movie’s release has been delayed to later in 2010.

The film — for which Cyrus has been showing a trailer, as well as singing a song off its soundtrack, “When I Look at You” — will now be released in April, a rep for the actress and a statement from Disney confirmed. “The date is now April 2,” a rep said. “We found a better release date than January for it. It will open Easter weekend/spring break.”

Cyrus filmed the Nicholas Sparks-penned film in Tybee Island, Georgia, over the summer. She’s also been romantically linked to her co-star Liam Hemsworth. The “Hannah Montana” star has remained tight-lipped about those rumors, but she did say that the movie affected her life in some way.

“I changed a lot when I was in Tybee Island. I feel like art really does imitate life,” Cyrus told MTV News. “I feel like I’m really showing a part of my growth as a person as well. So, I’m really excited for people to see it, just because of what it means to me, personally.”

The novel for Miley’s newest movie The Last Song is now available for purchase! The novel was actually created after Nicholas Sparks wrote the screenplay for the movie. You can order the book now online or try a local bookstore. The book should be going for around $15.00 - at least for the time being. Read the description of the novel/movie including some interesting tidbits (including about Miley!).

Seventeen year-old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father… until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms – first love, the love between parents and children – that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts… and heal them.

Did You Know?
Miley Cyrus chose the name Ronnie for the main character?

Nicholas wrote the screenplay before he wrote the novel?

The Last Song is the longest novel that Nicholas has written?

The Last Song is both a love story and a coming of age novel?

Miley Cyrus’ latest movie is filming in Atlanta. The tween sensation is currently shooting “The Last Song” at the Georgia Aquarium for a scene in the Nicholas Sparks-written screenplay.

The 16-year-old singer/actress, together with the whole crew and director Julie Anne Robinson, is at the Atlanta tourist attraction to shoot scenes in public areas prior to the place’s opening time at 10 a.m.

New scenes are being shot in the aquarium’s “behind-the-scenes” areas on Tuesday afternoon, according to Access Atlanta.

Cyrus is playing 17-year-old Ronnie, an angry New York-based teenager forced to spend a summer in Georgia with her estranged father. Although she is initially hostile, she slowly bonds with her concert pianist dad through their mutual love of music.

“The Last Song” is especially written by bestselling romance author Nicholas Sparks for the Disney star. Unlike his previous works, he wrote the screenplay first before the novel.

The release date for the film is scheduled on January 8, 2010. The novel is expected to hit shelves in September.
