Can't Be Tamed is the latest album by Miley Cyrus set to be released on June 22, 2010. The album, forwarded by its first single of the same name, represents Miley growing into her own self as a young woman. The goal of the album is to show Miley in this new light of being older than the public has seen her. It features producers like Antonina Armato, Tim James, and John Shanks. The sound of this album is described by Miley as having a "techno vibe" for the summer. She also stated that it has more of a "pop" sound than what she's explored before but with an "edge." This will also be Miley's last album before taking a hiatus from music to pursue more film and acting time. The release of the album will be accompanied with a deluxe CD/DVD version with the DVD containing never-before-seen videos of Miley's sold out Wonder World Tour in 2009. No Miley fan can wait for June 22, 2010 to pick up this "good to blast in your car" album. To pre-order the album, you can follow these links to Amazon.com. Yesterday, Miley Cyrus told us that she isn’t trying to dress “slutty” and that she wants people to buy her album “because of my music.”
Okay then. Let’s take Miley up on this premise.
The next single she’ll release off “Can’t Be Tamed” is titled “Liberty Walk” and it encourages listeners to “say goodbye to the people that tied you up.”
Its aim is to be an inspiring anthem, telling people “all that really matters are the steps you take.” Listen below and then sound off…
Miley was seen earlier yesterday getting something to drink at her favorite stop and later entering/exiting a recording studio. Rapper Lil’ John is going to be featured on the new remix of “Can’t Be Tamed!”
“It’s crazy, it’s crazy,” Lil Jon told E! News about the collaboration upon exiting the studio with Miley and her producing partner, Antonina Armato. “I think everybody’s gonna really enjoy the song.”
“He just came in and let it out,” added Miley. “It’s pretty rockin’.”
Miley Cyrus was excited to work with Bret Michaels on a “rad” cover of Poison’s classic ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” and the feeling was mutual. Michaels insisted that Cyrus is the real deal and he was honored that the star was interested in working with him on the song.
“It was really, really simple,” he told MTV News recently while promoting his cameo in “American Pie Presents: The Book of Love.” “I think her first concert was Poison. She saw us at Nashville at the arena. It was her introduction into rock and roll.”
He went on to say that despite her role on “Hannah Montana” and her reputation for making catchy pop, Cyrus truly does have a rock-and-roll spirit. “She’s one of the few musicians — and I want to use that word cause she can actually play and sing — she’s one of the few people who can pull it off and give it her own flare and make it sound good,” Michaels offered.
Although there’s still some work to be done on the track before it hits stores, the Poison frontman noted that Cyrus “nailed the song. She really knew what she was doing.” He added, “She got in there and picked the guitar up. It was one of those nights that just worked. It was fun. It’s gotta be her taking ‘Every Rose’ and making it all hers.”
He made sure to note that the track won’t be a duet. “Well, I’ll do some harmonies and stuff like that, but it’s gotta be her version,” he explained. “I think that’s what’s going to make the song feel like she owns it. She’s got a very contemporary twist to it … it has to be what she feels and [producer] John Shanks feels what’s playing on contemporary radio.”
