Miley aficionados may be wondering what her next album will bring: More uplifting country-tinged ballads, a la “The Climb”? Or more poppy earwigs like “Party in the U.S.A.”? As it turns out, Cyrus has a surprise in store-”Can’t Be Tamed” has several bass-heavy, slickly produced dance numbers that thunder in such a catchy, accessible way that it may make Ke$ha down another bottle of Jack out of envy.

“It was a natural progression for her,” says Abbey Konowitch, GM of Hollywood Records, which will make the album its first worldwide day-and-date release thanks in part to a new licensing deal with Universal Music Group in Europe. The title-track lead single turns the drum machine up to 11 as Cyrus belts out a party anthem chorus; it was sent to top 40 radio the week of May 3. “Who Owns My Heart” is full of ’80s-sounding keyboard riffs, and even the austerely named “Permanent December” is a throw-your-hands-in-the-air kind of track. “Two More Lonely People” also harks back to the ’80s, with Cyrus’ vocals reminiscent of Grace Slick’s on “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” In other words: Farewell, Hannah Montana.

First Network TV Special from the Internationally-Renowned and Multi-Platinum Selling Superstar Will Air June 18

Leading up to the worldwide release of her latest CD, “Can’t Be Tamed,” the internationally-renowned and multi-platinum selling Miley Cyrus will appear in the one-hour special, “Miley Cyrus: Live From London,” on FRIDAY, JUNE 18 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The concert was filmed at the famed O2 Arena in London during her sold-out worldwide tour and contains excerpts from her live show. The program captures how Miley, who has grown up in the public eye, has grown as an artist and reveals her natural progression and sophistication. The concert is gleaned from the full length concert that will be available for sale June 22 on the deluxe version of Miley’s album.

In the ABC concert special, Miley will be performing some of her biggest hits, including “Seven Things,” “Party In The USA,” and “The Climb.”

Executive produced by Tish Cyrus and Jason Morey, the “Miley Cyrus: Live From London” was directed by Russell Thomas and produced by Jim Parsons. The night the concert was filmed, Miley broke all attendance records at the 02 Arena, and was one of her five sold shows there.

Miley was seen earlier yesterday getting something to drink at her favorite stop and later entering/exiting a recording studio. Rapper Lil’ John is going to be featured on the new remix of “Can’t Be Tamed!”

“It’s crazy, it’s crazy,” Lil Jon told E! News about the collaboration upon exiting the studio with Miley and her producing partner, Antonina Armato. “I think everybody’s gonna really enjoy the song.”

“He just came in and let it out,” added Miley. “It’s pretty rockin’.”
